Since 1985, Peggy has maintained a studio at Hunters Point Shipyard where she has also actively participated in keeping a working artist presence in San Francisco.  She has served on the Board of the nonprofit Shipyard Trust for the Arts (STAR) and chairs the Artist-in-Residence Committee, which promotes studio space to local artists of the Bayview Hunters Point Community in San Francisco.

She participates in the twice yearly open Studio programs:  Spring Open  Studio, in early May, and the Fall open Studio, in November.   She has taught art for 20 years for the San Francisco School District, and has also been an artist-in-residence in the San Francisco public schools.  Peggy is currently  teaching at the Creative Growth Art Center in Oakland, California.

Her most recent series evolves from earlier works inspired by the  intrinsic beauty of  calligraphy.  These works on paper incorporate collage and a range of media, including acrylic, watercolor,  pen and ink, color pencils and  graphite.   The  process includes  the juxtaposition of collage imagery, drawing and photo transfer.  Her work within the past few years  extends the process of using lettering as a purely visual form,  suggesting information or thought  about images in the field of the text.
